The Kimo Theater is located in downtown Albuquerque and opened in 1927. It is said to be haunted by two ghosts. One of the ghosts is an unknown woman who has been seen many times, but doesn't cause any trouble. The other is a young boy, Bobby Darnell, who died in boiler explosion in 1951. Bobby likes to play tricks on staff and performers. He especially likes to trip performers when they walk out on stage. In order to appease Bobby, performers normally hang donuts out backstage for him that are said to always be gone the following morning and to make Bobby happy enough that he plays no tricks on the cast.
The Kimo also has some interesting artwork, including Thunderbirds.
