FBI works to track down highway serial killers

The FBI says serial killers are dumping bodies along U.S. interstates at an alarming rate, including Interstate 40 and Interstate 25 in New Mexico.

The FBI says 500 bodies have been dumped along U.S. interstates over the past 30 years, most have been women who live high-risk transient lifestyles.

New Mexico has had cases in Albuquerque, Santa Fe, Las Cruces and Edgewood.

I had only vaguely heard about this before. It is really amazing that there isn't a bigger deal made of it. I mean, the news channels go crazy if someone kills a dozen people somewhere, but here we have 500 and I hear almost nothing.

Strangely the FBI highway serial killer map shows 3 bodies in Juarez. This is after their investigation and telling the Mexican government that the murders there were not the work of a serial killer.
