It is an absolutely incredible story, says Timothy Green Beckley editor of the Conspiracy Journal. Since the mid to late 1970s there have been all sorts of rumors about an underground laboratory beneath the town of Dulce. . .The UFO Hunters show on the History Channel recently featured the entire saga of what has been taking place on Native American soil, and a few days later George Noory and Coast to Coast AM plunged head first trying to make sense out of the various accounts that have surfaced.

Beckley admits that it is difficult to pin point exactly when this macabre saga started to develop. But he gives credit to an engineer named Paul Bennewitz for getting the ball rolling when Bennewitz says he was called to the area when aliens started to communicate with him over a radio receiver. He had been directed to Dulce after observing UFOs over Kirkland Air Force Bases nuclear storage facility. Standing near the tall cliffs outside Dulce, Bennewitz took a series of photographs showing unidentified craft diving into the mountains through what he claimed were entrance ways that could be opened and closed.

One individual in the U.S. military who was involved in the early stages of this investigation claims he engaged in hand to hand combat with ETs who had taken over level seven of the Dulce Base after a conflict with our soldiers. Another person involved in this epic committed “suicide” — or was it murder? -shortly after the “Dulce affair” was made public.

Much has been speculated upon regarding this sinister matter. But this is the complete work that contains balanced information and details from all sides. First time ever interview with Paul Bennewitz who was pushed over the edge never to return to sanity.

Well from a reliable source deep inside the allusive UFO Study Group, they held their April soirée in a backroom of a public building in Albuquerque.

The main topic of the day was the Dulce conference and its impact on the Jicarilla Apache Nation. One of the members of the group will be continuing the Dulce research by interviewing some of the locals to gather additional information to understand the complexities of the subject. It sounds like there could be more amazing facts forth coming. But they may not be made public because of the potential sensitivity. It also came out that as the group members were leaving Dulce, several locals confronted them to share some of their strange stories. Several of these people were profoundly shaken from their abduction-type experiences and their various UFO sightings. The locals also brought out pictures of weird animals that were half this and half that. One of the MJ-7 members was upset by the amount of pain he saw in the locals’ eyes. It seems that some of the locals were asking for help or maybe just needed someone to talk to and listen to and tell them it would be all right. It sounds like the MJ-7 group has several members who could provide this sort of help, if the Jicarilla Apache will invite them to listen.

First Dulce, NM Conference

The underground base rumors that have circulated about the facility indicated that there are 7 levels below ground where bio-genetic experiments have taken place involving both humans and extraterrestrials. Some, who claimed to have been there supposedly, witnessed vats containing body and animal parts. The lower level has been referred to as "Night Mare Hall", again because of what was allegedly taking place at that level. An engineer Phil Schneider, referred to actually being involved in a fire fight in 1979 when the drilling penetrated a cavern deep within the mesa, and as a result of the fire fight, 60 bodies were removed after an altercation with aliens. So the rumors have persisted for all these years, with no solid evidence that any of them were factual.

Norio Hayakawa had visited the area several years ago with a Japanese film crew and was detained by the local law enforcement. The Jicarilla Apache are not fond of outsiders encroaching on their land. That did not deter Norio however, and he decided a few months ago to try and organize a conference in Dulce, and invited several researchers and local residents to the conference, which he appropriately named, "Dulce Base: Fact or Fiction", to try and determine if any of the rumors that persisted were true.

The Dulce Conference- after-thought and future impact

I attended this (possibly) once in a lifetime conference of strange happenings in the sleepy little town of Dulce, New Mexico. At first we had to turn people away as the crowd swelled to over 100 +. The Best Western management started to freak out as the bar/lounge started to explode with excitement and a little anger, as the crowd exceeded room capacity. Finally the former public safety director and speaker Holt Verde helped the conference find a more suitable venue next door at the new grocery store. So we stopped the event and physically moved everything across the street. Now in a more comfortable setting, the event continued. Speaker after speaker, some of whom were Jicarilla Apaches, told amazing stories of strange events in the area over the last 50 years and kept the audience in a deep state of attention.

Jeez! It’s not like I don’t have other things to do. With the publication of my book UFOs and Nukes: Extraordinary Encounters at Nuclear Weapons Sites, and following my July 18, 2008 appearance on Larry King Live, I have received a number of intriguing and seemingly confirmatory leads from former or retired military personnel regarding the reality of UFO activity at nuclear weapons sites over the last six decades.

While I would much prefer following up on those apparently legitimate leads, I guess I am going to have to roll up my shirt sleeves and attempt to educate a few well-intentioned but way-too-gullible folks regarding the supposed validity of the MJ-12 “documents” and related disinformation which is still being spread around by Richard Doty and Robert Collins, sometimes in emails or online posts, but most egregiously in their co-authored book Exempt From Disclosure. The first version was published in 2005 and the second in 2008. The Introduction, in each edition, should have opened with these words: “First, before we begin, bend over!”

Ah well, I suppose it’s time for me to counter-attack, before this crap-fest gains even more ground on the Internet and at UFO conventions. (Yes, I do understand that some folks in ufology and among the general public will not benefit from my informed input, preferring instead their own biases and strained theories about MJ-12. That’s not my problem.)

Dulce underground UFO base conference ends

Yesterday a conference was held in the small town of Dulce, New Mexico to discuss evidence of an underground extraterrestrial base at the nearby Archuleta Mesa. Organized by Norio Hayakawa, a retired funeral director now living in Rio Rancho, New Mexico, The Dulce Base: Fact or Fiction Conference brought together local and outside speakers with knowledge of events at Dulce. The conference began at the Best Western Jicarilla Inn but the venue had to be changed to the local civic meeting room after the first session since not all the audience could fit inside. Approxiately 100 people came from as far away as Pennslyvannia and Hawaii to attend the conference. Hayakawa hoped to end speculation about the existence of an underground extraterrestrial base. Speakers and locals were divided over the presence of extraterrestrials at the base, but most agreed that strange events were happening at the Archuleta Mesa. Most speakers believed that some kind of underground base existed, but this was related with classified military projects, and had nothing to do with extraterrestrials. Some locals joined two of the speakers in accepting evidence pointing to an extraterrestrial presence at Dulce.

Report: Dulce Underground Base Conference

The first “Underground Base Conference” is wrapped. Right near this small town on the Jicarilla Apache reservation land may be located one of the most infamous legends in UFO history: the Dulce base. About 100 people (organizers expected 20-30) showed up for the one day event, which almost didn’t happen.

Just after the proceedings started at 10AM in the hotel bar, the management told organizer Norio Hayakawa that no more people could be stuffed into the room without a fire code violation. About 20 people stood outside the door, trying to hear former rancher Ed Gomez’ talk about the 20 year history of cattle mutilations on his family ranch near Dulce. The problem with destroyed cattle became so bad that the family was forced out of the beef business. Gomez contends that the problem has zero to do with aliens and much to do with biological warfare and contamination of livestock. He also spoke favorably about Paul Bennewitz and his early visits to Dulce and the Gomez ranch. Gomez urged the few area residents who were at the conference to stand up for their rights and ask the local and national authorities what has been going on in this small community for over 30 years.

The Dulce Conference

I didn't go because I am too lazy to get up at 5 in the morning to be there on time, but apparently things have been a real success. Sigrid Hudson Bishop posted at facebook that 300% more people showed up than were expected and the Fire Marshall shut things down. That wasn't the end though, it seems that the hotel moved them to a larger room. More updates if and when I have them.

I was flipping through Sunset Magazine and came across a new alien tourism ad! I haven’t seen one of these in a while and didn’t know if they were still using the alien as the tourism mascot, but they are! I guess with vacation season coming up they will be rolling out more new ones and I will be keeping my eye out for them. If you click the image you will get the larger version. The alien is hanging out at Ojo Caliente natural hot springs, which happens to be one of my favorite places.

Sometimes they bring curiosity seekers, and even tourism may flourish. Take, for example, the city of Roswell. And when it comes to the subject of UFOs, Hayakawa believes that there is a much more interesting area in New Mexico than Roswell.

A curiously (and perhaps, occultically) designed school building in Dulce, New Mexico may be pointing to a mystery spot high atop a snow-capped unnamed peak exactly 18 miles NE of this sleepy little town.
If one were to draw a vector from what appears to be an "arrow" (as seen from the sky) which is located in the circular driveway of this unique school building, it will arrive at a strange, curvalinear parallelogram etched near the top of an unnamed snow-capped peak exactly 18 miles NE of Dulce.

What is interesting about this school building is its curious orientation and its possible aerial symbolism. It may be an apparent aerial directional signpost, according to a Los Alamos scientist who first informed me recently of these fascinating areas. He pointed to me that between the "arrow" and the corner building, there seems to be an "image" of a monolith found in the Tiahuanaco Ruins in Bolivia.

The History Channel came to Dulce on January 31 to do a series of interviews, including myself. Bill Birnes, Pat Uskert, John Greenewald and the entire crew came to Dulce. They will be producing a special one-hour program on the Dulce controversy.
The program is called the UFO Hunters and it will be aired probably in the summer.
The March 29, 2009 "Underground Base" conference in Dulce is beginning to get noticed.
The Cultural Affairs Dept. of the Jicarilla Apache Nation has posted the event on the upcoming events section of their website.

Curious spot on Archuleta Mesa, north of Dulce, New Mexico?

There is no doubt that curiosity seekers, through the use of Google Earth satellite imagery, have meticulously looked (and will continue to look) for anything that may appear to be an anomalous spot on the entire Archuleta Mesa, adjacent to Dulce, New Mexico.
But so far, nothing of any significance seems to have surfaced. Anything that may initially have appeared to be somewhat "strange" has been prosaically explained.
Here is another spot that came to my attention recently. You can zoom in and see what I mean. This spot is located on the Colorado side of the Archuleta Mesa, a couple of miles NW of a tiny community of Edith, Colorado:

Some may see an opening or a shaft partially covered with logs.
Some may contend that it is nothing more than a small dirt mound where logs are laid on top.
Others may see a pond over which logs are scattered.
Others may contend that it is simply a vestige of a camp area.
Prosaic explanations will probably lay to rest this spot.

Speaking of Dulce, here is a reminder to everyone that you are all welcome to come to Dulce on Sunday, March 29 to attend the first-time ever Open Public Forum: "The Dulce Base: Fact or Fiction?", which will be held at the Best Western Jicarilla Inn. It willl start from 10 a.m. and will last till 3 p.m.
There will be some surprise guest speakers as well as many surprise guests in attendance.
A large portion of the "conference" will be an open forum during which the public is invited to express their thoughts and will be given a chance to speak out. The cost of admission to this one-day "conference" is $5 at the door:

Some of you may have seen the news yesterday about the death of Griffin B. Bell, who served as Attorney General under President Jimmy Carter (see this link for details).

You may be wondering what the death of Bell has to do with UFO Mystic. Well, I’ll tell you!

Following a series of cattle mutilations that occurred in and around Dulce, New Mexico between 1976 and 1978, Manuel S. Gomez, a rancher who had himself lost a number of cattle, approached the then Senator for New Mexico (and a former astronaut), Harrison Schmitt, and requested that enquiries be made to determine if, finally, some form of investigation could be instigated to settle the problem.
